This layout and design graphic was created to accompany a feature story to highlight U.S. Air Force Maj. Sandra Salzman’s mother, Retired Col. Lesa Juday, former judge advocate general, at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, March 17, 2023. It depicts older newspapers from stories about Juday while she was in the Air Force and a full-length portrait photo of Juday as a scrapbooking page. One of Salzman’s motivators in her career is her mother, who fought for gender equality for female service members during her career.
