Operational Hospital Support Unit Bremerton trains with Air Force
Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Rob Johnston, an instructor assigned to Navy Reserve Navy Medicine Education and Training Command and selected for the rank of chief, evaluates U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Mariela Rodriguez tending to a simulated casualty during a tactical combat casualty care (TCCC) class for exercise Tropic Halo 2019 at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma, Wash., Aug. 7, 2019. Tropic Halo is designed to enhance Operational Hospital Support Unit Bremerton's medical and mission capabilities on several levels: increase TCCC and trauma nurse core course readiness rates while minimizing overall training costs; promote intra-service cohesion with collaborative training in a joint service environment and leverage Navy and Air Force command assets to generate better training opportunities.
