Colonel Paul Gourley is the Commander, 9th Medical Group, Beale Air Force Base, Calif. He commands four squadrons providing patient-centered care to 22,800 beneficiaries and specialized support and training for U-2 aviators at Beale and three overseas operating locations, enabling optimal human performance in the delivery of globally integrated intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance. Through teamwork, innovation, and efficient utilization of resources, the 9 MDG provides medical, dental, environmental and physiological support, focusing on prevention while promoting a healthy community and is poised to support medical contingencies worldwide.

Colonel Gourley was born in Abington, Pa. in October 1966. He graduated from Ursinus College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1988. He was commissioned in the Army as a medical corps officer in May 1992 and interservice transferred to the Air Force in February 2002.
