Col Thaddeus H. Phillips III is the Commander of the 2d Dental Squadron, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, the largest Bomb Wing in the Air Force. As such, he supports the dental readiness of the 2d Bomb Wing, Headquarters Eighth Air Force, Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command and 38 associate units as well as growing community of 33,000 eligible beneficiaries. Col Phillips graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry, Philadelphia, PA in 1993. He then went onto practicing general dentistry with his father in Harrisburg, PA. Col Phillips entered the Air Force in 9 December 1994. After graduating from Commissioned Officer Training at Maxwell Air Force Base, AL he went onto his first duty station at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. Col Phillips has served in a myriad of positions since entering active duty service. Notably he served as Dental Support Flight Commander at Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, NM, Dental Support Flight Commander Osan Air Base, ROK, and Dental Support Flight Commander Ramstein Air Base, GE the largest overseas dental clinic in the Air Force. Most recently he served as the Chief of Dental Services/Dental Flight Commander at Whiteman Air Force Base, MO where the dental clinic was named the Air Force Global Strike Command Medium Dental Clinic of the Year 2010 and 2011. Col Phillips also has a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, TX. He is married to Amy Phillips from Elks Point, SD and they have four children Thaddeus IV(psychology graduate ‘13 UCLA age 31, Raya (graduate’14 Washington University St Louis School of Law, MO age 26), Alyssa (age 14) and Abigail (age 10). Col Phillips also has a daughter Aliyah (deceased November 2009) from a previous marriage.
