MUSC leadership gets first-hand look at JB Charleston mission
Joint Base Charleston played host to senior officials from the Medical University of South Carolina, including MUSC president Dr. David Cole, during a briefing and tour of aeromedical capabilities May 22, 2018 at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. The purpose of the visit was to share information about the medical missions, as well as the overall mission, of the various units at JB Charleston. It echoed a visit base officials made to MUSC earlier this year to familiarize themselves with the institution’s facilities.

Deily Dental gives kids a smile through ADA program
JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. – Deily Dental Clinic hosted “Give Kids A Smile”, a program launched by the American Dental Association, March 23, 2018, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. The program offers children free preventative dental services such as dental exams, fluoride treatments and education.

Air Force, University of Nebraska conduct research for TIS
Joint Base Charleston hosted members from Air Mobility Command and the University of Nebraska Medical Center for a transportable isolation system training and research event March 14, 2018. The TIS, an enclosed negative pressure medical pod with clear walls, is an isolation unit designed to provide in-flight medical care for patients with highly infectious diseases.

Trusted Care brought order to chaos after Hurricane Maria
Soon after hurricanes struck the Caribbean and southern U.S. in the fall of 2017, Air Force medics deployed to the island of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands and brought along their Trusted Care culture to help evacuate patients safely and effectively from the storm ravaged island.
